Benefits

Current Challenges

Illumination

Current lighting available to dentists is not focused and illuminates a wide area.

Weight

Heavy equipment is not ergonomic, especially in the case of dental lighting headsets.

Size

Products on the market are too large to illuminate hard-to-reach areas of the oral cavity.

Price

Tool upgrades and heavy, unwieldy wide-area dental lamps or headsets cost thousands of dollars.

Easy to adjust

adjust-1.gif

The DML device offers a firm and tight grip around the stem of the dentist's tools. The device is fixed in place by the tension of the device walls and the friction between the materials of the device body and the metal or plastic of the tool. The position of the device can be adjusted to make the light spot brighter by pushing the device close to the tip of the tool. The device is small and doesn't obstruct the field of view. The device "dark" end has a tiny bump that allows the removal of the device by the light push against it. The device is wireless and can be positioned anywhere it produces enough lighting to illuminate the subject area the most effective way.

The device can be rotated 360 degrees around the stem of the dental tool to choose the most comfortable position. It is enough to apply a light force to the wall of the device body by the tip of a finger to rotate the device. The device will hold any intermediate position. We recommend positioning the device underneath the stem of the tool to put the light focal point on the tip of the tool or a subject area.

For years, my staff and I have been looking for ways to improve lighting for dental operations. The market currently doesn't offer lighting directed at the area being worked on by the dentist. There are Massive Surgical Operating Lamps or LED Headlamps. They are heavy, inconvenient, and illuminate everything but the subject area. I think the Dental Micro Light tiny device is a significant breakthrough, and I look forward to seeing it on the market.
